CHINA PUBLISHES EXPORT CONTROL GUIDELINES

On April 28, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce published guidelines on export control of dual-use goods, which replace the previous views MOFCOM of 2007 and making compliance suggestions to exporters.

BREXIT, GREEN LIGHT FROM THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

Parliament approved by a large majority (660 votes in favor, 5 against and 32 abstentions) the Trade & Cooperation Agreement, which regulates future EU-UK relations, as well as a resolution, which sets out Parliament’s assessment and expectations on the agreement.

THE POST-COTONOU IS REALITY

The negotiations started in 2018 and concluded on April 15, which led to the signing of a new partnership agreement between the EU and 79 of African, the Caribbean and Pacific countries and which, once in force, will affect 1.5 billion people and more 50% of the UN seats.

The dramatic reduction in exports of UK companies to the European Union is all due to the harmful effects of Brexit. Imports seem to suffer less, supported by the concessions in force, and if this were the reason for their extension?

TCA, THE EU USES LEGAL CHANNELS

In a statement on March 11, 2021, Michael Gove, Minister of Boris Johnson’s Cabinet Office, announced an extension of all control activities on goods entering the UK, due to the continuing health emergency. But the EU does not agree with this postponement.
