GAS IMPORTS, ADM CLARIFICATIONS

The transport and dispatching of natural gas has been recognized in the public    interest as a consequence of the liberalization of the internal market, with the recognition of Snam Rete Gas S.p.A. (SRG)  as the infrastructure manager of the transport network and gas measuring stations.

In addition to what has already been ordered in the past, considered as the person obliged to submit customs declarations (shippers) is different from the one carrying out the quantitative assessment of gas entering the Customs territory of the Union (SRG), the Customs and Monopolies Agency has clarified the obligations for importers: presentation to the competent Customs Office in relation to the place of entry of the gas into the national territory of the provisional monthly program of the gas flows imported, to be produced by the end of the month preceding the month in which the operations will be carried out; registration in its commercial records of the data provided by SRG within the day following the communication; presentation of the import declaration in which the final quantities of natural gas of competence are cumulatively summarized , to be produced within the 15th working day of the month following importation. SRG communicates within the tenth day of the month following the one of effective entry into the Italian transport network of the transit quantities of natural gas destined for the shippers.
